FirstView - Track Your Child's Bus

FirstView, a free, secure bus tracking and parent communication app, is offered through First Student. With the FirstView app, parents can see estimated bus arrival times, track their child’s bus location on its route to and from school and sign up for alert messages regarding major delays or issues. The secure app is another way to know their children are safe.

When setting up the App, you will be prompted to:

Select your state (Kansas)
Select your district (Wichita)
Type in your student ID and security code. (To obtain your student ID and security code, contact your child’s school.)

WPS App

The WPS Mobile App allows you to connect to ParentVUE, make online payments, view meal menus, connect to other district applications and follow school-specific news and events.

The WPS Mobile App is free and available for both Apple and Android devices. Just search for Wichita Public Schools in the App Store or Google Play, or click on the links below to get directly to the app download.

Seesaw PreK-5th Grade Assignments

Seesaw is an interactive learning for platform for K-5th grade students that allows students to create, share, and reflect on their work through photos, videos, drawings, and more. It helps families stay connected with their child’s learning by providing a window into the classroom. Parents can see their child’s progress and communicate with teachers.

Seesaw requires an invite from your child's teacher to sign up. Your child's teacher will provide you with a paper, email, or text invite (the invite will include a QR code or link). If you do not have this, please contact your child's teacher.

How Seesaw Works for Families

Canvas 6-12 Grade Assignments

Canvas is the Learning Management System for 6-12th grade. It lets teachers post assignments and content, and students can view and submit assignments. Parents can create observer accounts to see their child’s assignments and course materials. Infinite Campus is still used for grades and attendance. Parents need a pairing code from their child, which can be generated in Canvas under “Account” > “Settings” > “Pair with Observer.”
